Kita bisa memonitor SQL Server Performance dengan aplikasi perfmon.exe (sistem bawaan dari windows) dan memasukan counter berikut ini :

• Memory – Available MBytes
• Paging File – % Usage
• Physical Disk – Avg. Disk sec/Read
• Physical Disk – Avg. Disk sec/Write
• Physical Disk – Disk Reads/sec
• Physical Disk – Disk Writes/sec
• Processor – % Processor Time
• SQLServer: Buffer Manager – Page life expectancy
• SQLServer: General Statistics – User Connections
• SQLServer: Memory Manager – Memory Grants Pending
• SQLServer: SQL Statistics – Batch Requests/sec
• SQLServer: SQL Statistics – Compilations/sec
• SQLServer: SQL Statistics – Recompilations/sec
• System – Processor Queue Length

Memeriksa Performance Monitor Server

Kalau hendak memeriksa performance website yang ada diserver kita bisa menggunakan
perfmon.exe kemudian menambahakan hal-hal berikut ini :

WEB SERVICE
   - anon users/sec
   - bytes recd/sec
   - bytes sent/sec
   - bytes total/sec
   - cgi requests/sec
   - connection attempts/sec
   - current anon users
   - current connections
   - current non-anon users
   - get req/sec
   - header req/sec

   - total bytes sent
   - total bytes transferred
   - total connection attempts (all instances)

Unable to update the EntitySet

If you have issue when save or update data to database, and you use LINQ or EF

Stack Trace :
”Unable to update the EntitySet 'tblName' because it has a DefiningQuery and no <InsertFunction”


Solution =
Please check your table in database, and make sure you have primary key in that table.

Install NetAdvantage Infragistic Error- Error 1606 Could Not Access Network Location %SystemDrive%\inetpub\wwwroot\

I try to install NetAdvantage on Windows 7

When installing NetAdvantage on your machine, you may run into an error that says either “Error 1606. Could not access network location %SystemDrive%\inetpub\wwwroot\” or “Error 1606. Could not access network location \inetpub\wwwroot\”
.

Additional Information

To work around this error, a registry key needs to be modified. Please note that Infragistics strongly recommends you back up your registry before making any changes.
1) Type "regedit" in the Run From Start Menu dialog box to open the "Registry Editor".
2) Find the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\PathWWWRoot
3) Change the value of this registry key from "%SystemDrive%\inetpub\wwwroot" or " \inetpub\wwwroot\" to "C:\inetpub\wwwroot". If your default website in IIS is instead stored in a different location, set the value of this registry key to that path instead.

How to install and uninstall font in Windows 7

Windows 7 comes with TrueType fonts and OpenType fonts. They work with a variety of computers, printers, and programs.

• TrueType fonts (.ttf/.ttc) can be scaled to any size and are clear and readable in all sizes. They can be sent to any printer or other output device supported by Windows.
• OpenType fonts (.otf) are related to TrueType fonts, but typically incorporate a greater extension of the basic character set, such as small capitalization, old-style numerals, and more detailed shapes, such as glyph and ligatures. OpenType fonts are also clear and readable in all sizes and can be sent to any printer or other output device supported by Windows.
• PostScript fonts are fonts created by Adobe Systems that are smooth, detailed, and of high quality. They are often used for printing, especially professional-quality printing, such as books or magazines.

You can add and remove your font in Windows 7, here is the step :

Installing font in Windows 7 :
1. Download font that you want, example link to download font = http://www.azfonts.net/
2. Copy that font file (that already downloaded)
3. Open you window explorer and go to path (windows path)  C:\Windows\Fonts
4. Paste your font file at that path
5. Well done, you already install your font in Windows 7

Uninstall font in Windows 7 :
1. Choose font file that you want to uninstall in this path C:\Windows\Fonts
2. Right click and choose option “Delete”
3. Well done, you already uninstall your font in Windows 7

Posting table in Windows Live Writer

We can create data table from ms.Excel after we finish we can copy and paste it to Windows Live Writer (WLM) program. By default in WLM format will thinned HTML option.

In Thinned HTML, table format or style will be remove.
Here is the example :

1. I write this is ms.Excel


2. I paste it in Windows Live Writer (WLM), become :
NoName1Jane2Mike3Lucky

Actually it’s not the purpose, but the purpose is to have data table with the same format style that I had create in ms.Excel, here is the tricks :

When you paste data tables in WLM, you right click the main post window, and choose Paste Special menu, after that you must choose “Keep Formatting” option.



Hope it can help you to solve inserting table in Windows Live Writer with the same format style.

Post Blog with email automatically – Blogger

We can post our article to our blog (blogger / blogspot) automatically, and here the steps to do it :

1. Login to our blogspot account - http://blogspot.com/
2. Go to Setting menu
3. Go to Mobile and Email Menu

4. Configure your email address to post to your blog

The format of the email address is username.secretword@blogger.com. Note that this email address must be kept secret. Otherwise, anyone who gets it will be able to post as you to your blog.

Also be sure to specify whether or not you prefer your email posts to publish automatically. If this option is not checked, then your posts will be saved on your account but will not appear on your blog until you sign in to Blogger.com and publish them yourself, if you want to automatically post via your mail you can choose option “Publish email immediately” 

Once you have saved your Settings, you can send email to your blog. The subjects of your emails will be the titles of your posts, and the body of the emails will be the posts themselves. To include an image in your post, you can attach an image to your email.

How to display duration datetime in Excel

Today i try this event in my pc, i want to check for how long that datetime duration in Excel. I try this with application Microsoft Excel 2007 :

Here the step :

1. Create date start in column and row C4
fill value  = 01-Aug-2011 09:00

2. Create date start in column and row C5
fill value = 20-Aug-2011 10:30

3. Absolute duration in C6 with this formula
=ABS(C5-C4)

4. Then create data detail (about date time duration) in column row C7, with this formula :

=CONCATENATE(TRUNC(TEXT(C6,"[h]")/24)," days, ",HOUR(C6)," hours ",MINUTE(C6)," minutes")

And it work for me, you can try this step.

Memproteksi code aplikasi dengan Dotfuscator - VS2005

Code aplikasi yang kita kerjakan sangatlah berarti, dan bila kita hendak memproteksi code aplikasi tersebut (dalam case ini adalah aplikasi yang dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi Microsoft .NET) dalam dengan mudah kita lakukan.

Berikut adalah tahapan-tahapan yang perlu dilakukan :
1.Membuat aplikasi desktop simple dengan Visual Studio 2005
sample :

2.Kemudian build aplikasi tersebut menjadi exe / dll file format
3.Kemudian kita jalankan aplikasi bawaan dari Microsoft yang mendukung fasilitas proteksi ini di Visual Studio Tools – Dotfuscator Community Edition

4.Pilihlah file exe / dll yang hendak diproteksi.

5.Pastikan file output hasil build pada folder yang tepat

6.Kemudian tekan tombol ctr-B atau build project tersebut.
Maka akan dihasilkan file aplikasi yang terproteksi, dimana nama class dari code tersebut akan digantikan automatic oleh aplikasi tersebut.

Sehingga kalau anda hendak membuka aplikasi tersebut dengan tools semacam Reflector maka code tersebut menjadi susah untuk dibaca.

Cara menyetting Modem Haier CE100 agar bisa menggunakan AHA

Modem Haier CE100 yang terunlock ternyata bisa menggunakan kartu keluaran Esia (AHA), namun secara default settingannya adalah dalam frekuensi HYBRID, sedangkan untuk menggunakan AHA maka kita perlu menyettingnya ke frekuensi CDMA1x.

Berikut adalah procedur settingannya :

1. Masuk ke aplikasi caller (aplikasi untuk melakukan koneksi internet)

2. Masuk kebagian kanan atas pada aplikasi tersebut.

3. Pilih opsi Net mode : pilih yang CDMA1x , kemudian tekan button OK.

4. Pastikan APN, username dan password untuk kartu AHA sudah disetting dengan baik, kemudian lakukan connect network.

When we want to know system time up for how long in your pc or your notebook, we can try this method :

i use os winXP for this case

1. Go to run menu

2. Type –>  cmd

3. In batch window, type systeminfo

4. Done, and you will see this information – System up time
 
In this case, we also can get information about network card that installed in your PC.

Reset Environment in Visual Studio 2005

Sometime when you develop some application you need environment that suit with your code, example on jan 2011 you develop with vb.net and on jun 2011 you develop with c# environment, so you need some adjustment for this, and here the steps to do in your VS:

1. Go to menu Tools – Import and Export Settings…
on your visual studio application

2. Choose option reset all settings

3. In this steps you need to choose the environment that you need – base on your code development.
