Google make this feature to collect social network base on Gmail account, and still on progress state.
With this point criteria's :
1. No Setup needed
2. Share publicly or privately
3. Inbox Integration
4. Photo friendly
5. Connect sites you already use
6. See updates in real time
7. Just the good stuff
This features is not make me impressed compared with Facebook,
to use this feature you must join to Gmail first, it make barrier for Google to collect many members, may be they want to collect base on the member that they already have (Gmail members), for marketing and communications professionals, Buzz seems not Buzz as their definition.
Right now Google is the Best Search Engine, but not in Network Social concepts.
And need to improve their features compared with their competitors.
